     Today I listened to a podcast about days of celebration in other country. They were talk about days of celebration representing their countries. Their unique days are very awesome for each other. Chinese eat dumplings in New Year. That's why dumplings consumption is expanded in New Year. Even if they are a mortal, they become desperate and look for dumplings.  difficult words representing, awesome, expanded, desperate, dumplings, a mortal representing = 代表者として Note: The noun is “a representative” awesome = great expanded = increased desperate = 死に物狂いの、たまらなくて dumplings = 餃⼦ a mortal = a regular person

     One of Japan's biggest problems is the food problem. Japan's food self-sufficiency rate is less than 40%. Japan is aging with a declining birthrate, and the food self-sufficiency rate is expected to decline more and more in the future.      Currently, Japan imports a large amount of food from overseas. However, on Earth, food shortages have become more serious due to explosive population growth, and it is said that one in 10 people on earth are starving. As a result, other countries will not be able to afford to import food into Japan, and there is a possibility that food shortages will eventually become serious in Japan.      To solve this problem, it is necessary to reduce food loss and waste. In Japan, food loss and waste have resulted in an annual loss of 100 billion yen. By reducing food loss and waste for each person, the current situation can be greatly improved.

     I'll talk about a man named Kakuei Tanaka. He was born in Niigata prefecture in 1918. He is the same age as my great-grandmother. After serving as Minister of Finance and Minister of Posts and Telecommunications, he won the presidential election and assumed the post of Prime Minister.      In the information so far, he looks like a normal politician at first glance, but he is a very special politician. He didn't go on to high school. Because his family was never wealthy. The proportion of politicians from wealthy families was relatively high, but he defeated them in elections and went up to politicians. Therefore, he is likened to Hideyoshi Toyotomi and is called "Ima Taiko".      I want to be like him who doesn't give up!

     Hi. I'll talk about my faculty. I join faculty of Bioproduction. The predecessor school is Hiroshima Seinen Normal School. It was built in 1944. This school was built for the purpose of fostering teachers at ''Seinen schools''. ''Seinen schools''  is an educational institution in prewar Japan that nurtures young people engaged in labor.　      In Hiroshima Seinen Normal School, boys learn agriculture and girls learn home economics.　Hiroshima University consists of nine advanced schools like that.　Therefore, at Hiroshima University, we can learn classes with unique characteristics unique to each faculty.      I was interested in animals and plants, so I chose this faculty. I enjoy classes in this faculty.

     We studied mathematics as compulsory education when we were in elementary and junior high school.　I studied various formulas in there.　It was mathematicians who discovered these formulas.      They prove them over the decades after discovering the formulas. I don't have that endurance, so I respect them very much. Science students need tremendous exploration, so I will do my best to gain them.
